can a fx be scriptable?

there is a very nice fx that i would use as a door. my question is if can i put the kvp in a fx?

the kvp used for fx is script_fxid. There are many things you can do script wise with fx. This seems more like a question that would belong in the scripting section. Using the door as the fx will still require a click. You could probably set up a door but use the tag_origin model instead of a door model, and play the fx on the door. Depends what you want to do really.

Then in script there are several options. To delete the fx, you will have to use playfxontag, or a combination of gsc and csc to stop the fx. I included more explanation of this in my script to radiant tut #2
