So for some reason now when I go to compile my map it comes up this error. It was working fine literally 2 hours ago but now its all of a sudden broke? How do I fix it?

Nope same thing. oddly enough though it lets me compile my map but not build mod

i REALLY hope thats not the only solution, lol sorry but installing the mod tools is so annoying to do

Fixed it, apparently cod waw folder had read only checked. unchecking it fixed it

Folders should be read-only. If you were getting that error there are 2 reasons: you're not running as admin/not the admin of the computer and the other reason is your permissions are fucked up. No idea why making it not read-only worked.

I have a lot of problems with the Steam version on COD 5.

Its getting worse laltely, I have to close steam before each compile or I get a fail with menacing looking text 

If your using steam try closing it down, but its more likely that reinstalling MOD tools will sort it. I had to do that several times the last time I set it up
