how do I select multple brushes at once

I have very small brushes that I need deleted but I cant do i because it lags to much and i was wondering if i could select them like a selection area.

Draw a brush over them, then Selection - Select - Select Inside.

or hold shift + alt while dragging with your left-mouse button, everything that's completely inside of the square will be selected..
