I SPELLED USER AS USEB FUCK MY LIFE AND MY FUCKING BRAIN FOR EFFING THAT UP NOT ONCE NOT TWICE BUT 4 TIMES IN A ROW I SPELLED IT WRONG 4 TIMES IN A ROW. I CHECKED, THE FILES WERE IN MY TRASH BIN. just to make sure can you give me an example of how it should look.

originally my friend installed the mod tools for me so i don't know how he did it.

EDIT: and i did follow the wiki twice and i'm still having the same problem

i dont know how to do that. all the things with maya are very distant to me and i also have the 2014 version so pretty much all of the tutorials for it are for 2016.

I assume you're using Aidan's since if I am not mistaken this is the only I know of plug-in/script for exporting/importing that will work with 2014.

Make sure the .py file is put in Documents\maya\mayaversion\scripts and add this to your usersetup.mel:

After that it should work.

There only difference between 2016 and 2014 is UI Design, everything is in the same place and virtually the same, a tutorial on let's say Maya 8.5 would be very much relevant to someone using 2014. :)

its in the usersetup.mel and still it doesn't work. also there are alot of differences in in maya 2014 like i was following a tutorial for using hypershade and 2014 doesn't have a viewport (that i could find) by digital tutors. :'(

is ti possible that the problem is being caused by tombmx's xanim import tools that i have installed. cause that stopped working too

no... its most likely to be disabled in the plugin manager...

Its in one of the menus at the top and exists in any revision of maya, check that, then well look at other things. No point looking into anything else until you confirm its at least "showing" in the list of available plugins for maya

Also view port does exist - depends what tab you have selected in the top left
