BECAUSE find flesh is only REQUIRED if there is NO WINDOW between the zombie spawn and the PLAYER
As you put a window there NO FIND_FLESH is REQUIRED, bacause they TARGET THE WINDOW
take the WINDOW out, and add FIND_FLESH and they will work BECAUSE IT MAKES THEM TARGET A PLAYER
Regardless of the fact he mentioned Risers, imagine he just said "zombies" in the "playable area" (NOT outside a window) makes this guys comment STILL 100% correct...
why argue with someone trying to explain why you had your issue? Do you not want a answer? fml...

THIS IS WHAT FIND_FLESH DOES
By default, a zombie spawner is set so the first action it takes is to target the closest window or traverse. In these cases, if there is no window, then the zombies will just get stuck.
If a zombie is given the KVP script_noteworthy "find_flesh", the zombies targeting will NOT target any window and will instead immediately begin to chase a player
Either of these done backwards will result in zombies standing still and not attacking you

THAT IS WHY... which you even said YOURSELF :
Because you wanted them to target a player, not a window you should have GIVEN THEM THE FIND_FLESH KVP - the reason they stood still is bceause of the fact you DIDNT

You just keep thinking my zombies never worked....my zombies worked without the fockin find_flesh,then later on i messed something up,
certainly not remove find_flesh kvp because IT WAS NEVER THERE.
So i didn't just add a window,i rebuilt my zombies from scratch which WORKED BEFORE and attacked me inside the map without the damn find_flesh.So ye,i know what fockin find_flesh kvp is,dont try to explain -_-,i am saying i never used that shit,and it was fine,after i messed that up,zombiea wouldnt work at all whatever you do,so i carefully did them from scratch and that helped me.
The daym point is stop trying to explain the problem is find_flesh because i never used it and was fine without it.
Z = Zombie
W = Window
P = Player
Z -> W -> P -------------------- NO FIND_FLESH, because zombie will target the window to check it can get through it. If its boarded up it will attack the boards, if not itll climb over
Z -> P ------------------------- YOU DO NEED FIND_FLESH - because WITHOUT find flesh, the zombie will still try to target a WINDOW. As there is NO WINDOW in the example you gave you would need to GIVE IT THIS KVP
Now if you ignore this, your just doing it on purpose. This is a fact
If your zombie spawns inside your map, find_flesh
If it spawns outside a traverse or barrier itll need to climb to get INTO your map, then NO find_flesh
The only reason we put find_flesh on risers is because they are nearly ALWAYS inside the map. If you put them outside a barrier, the same thing applies, you take "find_flesh" off or they will just stand still
All youve done is put the window in. So you did NOT fix it, your issue still exists, if you take the window out your zombies will fail to target a player. You "tried" to make a internal spawn point and failed, and replaced it with a external spawn. That is not "fixing" it thats "changing" it
They were not working because the window was missing. If you want them to spawn without "having" to climb a window first, then you need to do as I am telling you. Otherwise, have fun with a map of EVERY zombie spawning outside a window
