This is a guide for how to play the custom maps you find on this website. 1) You need Call of Duty: World at War. If you don't have it, you need to buy it. We do not support pirated copies and people often run into problems with them. You can buy the steam version here: BUY CALL OF DUTY WORLD AT WAR FROM STEAM You can also buy the DVD disc version from eBay or Amazon if you like, either will work. If you don't buy the Steam version, you will need to install all game patches up to 1.7. It is recommended to just buy the Steam version. YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE DVD PATCHES HERE 2) You need to download the UGX Map Manager. You can download it HERE and read how to use it HERE . Additional maps can be found throughout the releases section. 3) Now you can play the maps you installed in Step 2. To play the maps, either use the Launch menu in the UGX Map Manager or boot your game and click the Mods button from the main menu. Once in the menu you will see a list of maps that have been installed to your mods folder, highlight the mod you would like to play and hit "Launch". Don't fret if after launching the mod it's seems to bring you back to the main menu. You can tell you have a mod launched by clicking "mods" and having an option called "Launch without mods", implying you already have one loaded. 4) If the map has a solo button feel free to click it to begin playing. If not then you are required to use a console command to launch the map. Open the console by pressing the tilde or "~" key, it is located below the Esc button. If no command bar appears at the top of the screen this means you do not have the console enabled, to enable it set "Options & Controls>Game Options>Enable Console" to yes. Once you have the console bar open at the top of the game's window you can type this simple command below and press ENTER to begin playing: Code Snippet Plaintext Copy map *MAPNAME* *MAPNAME* - The name of the map you are looking to play. Ex: Code Snippet Plaintext Copy map nazi_zombie_420 If you have completed the above steps correctly, then congratulations you are playing your first custom zombie map! i a very good at zombies on consles but i find it extrmly hard to play with key bored and mouse is there a way to use a contoller

I have the map manager downloaded and a few maps downloaded as well, but when i launch the maps either from the manager or the game itself, the map never loads. When i go to the mods list, there are no mods. I don't understand. I have a folder i my WAW file called mods, but there is nothing in it. Someone help

i have problem with waw, i cannot see any maps in the mod list. I bught a key from buydlplay, in the description of the product was saying "direct download" so i thought ill dll it and ill get a valid copy of the game withing a cd key. Unfortunately it wasnt so, ive only got the key, so i basically take a cracked version of the game and i have activated it. I dont know if thats the issue. My mods folder is in appdata/local/activision/codwaw/mods each one its in seperate folders, my game is patched to 1.7 everything its ok, i can play online on servers etc, but i cannot see any of the maps in the mod list. I use ugx map manager to dll the maps. i use it to run the maps also, but its the same thing none are in the list. Somebody have a clue?

Sounds like a browser issue, try Chrome or Firefox.

Hi, when i downloaded a map it said i exceeded the 400 fx limit, so I've tried to fix it but i can't fine the zone_sorce folder anywhere, i don't know if its just because i have the steam version or not but i need some hall, any advice?

Zone_source is only editable for the developers of the map, not any regular players. If it's just that one map, go and download another one. If it's with any map, try reiinstalling it and patching it to V1.7 (If you have the non-steam version).

I don't know how to explain this so stay with me on this.
So I downloaded the UGX Map Manager and I downloaded LSD, ugx_cabin, ugx_camosea. So when I open my WaW I click on mods and it doesn't show anything; even though I downloaded the maps. So I went back to the UGX Map Manager and clicked "Tools" then I clicked on Launch Maps, I picked LSD and it started up my World at War but it didn't have a solo start button. So I opened up the console and put: devmap LSD I don't know if I did the right command or something.
Hope you can help me on this!

Can someone please help me. I Installed the UGX map manager and i installed the map dead ship but when i go to world at war and go to mods the map doesn't show. i've tried the option to launch it from the map manager and i did the command but still nothing i can't play any maps

So I have a problem too, I downloaded UGX map manager, downloaded maps from there and from the forums, ran all the setups, but the setups dont download anything except for "missingasset" "mod arena" and "(map name).fff"

so.... it doesnt work. I installed the UGX map manager and downloaded two maps thirty seven and dead ship and when i click launch im given the error 5:0000065434. What do i do!? please help this is really frustrating.
