Yes.

Get an array of items to shoot. Set a level var to the size of the array. Either use trigger damages or if the model can be shot, use setcandamage function. Thread function that waits for damage. After each one is shot, delete it and then update the level var (--) and check if it is <= 0. If it is, then open the door.

keep in mind  using setcandamage  will not work on some models especially ones i ported from other games.
for it to work you need to reconvert the model with  collisionLOD.
If theres a easier way id love to know but thats how i got it to work for me on all my shootable models.

im mainly talking about my experience with using setcandamage . who knows what models hes going to use for testing.
i was thinking he might use a model that didnt work like i did so to save time i was giving him a heads up on what he can do to get it to work if he goes this route .
