I've been having problems with it and I can't understand why it happens. It's basically that the custom sounds I play in scripts doesn't always work. It started happening me with the doors, but I didn't give it importance. Now I'm making a custom box, and it'd look weird if sometimes it doesn't have music.
I use this for the sound (maybe they're not the correct functions ???):
Code Snippet
Plaintext
self playSound( "cube_box_music" );
// or
self playSoundAsMaster( "cube_box_music" );

Sounds not working after conversion is an issue i struggle with often. But once they work they always work, I'm pretty sure.
I use playsound for 3d sounds, but I also use this for 2d sounds:

Code Snippet
Plaintext
PlaySoundAtPosition("sound",origin);

and PlayLocalSound for sounds to the player, sometimes to each player instead of a 2d sound:

Code Snippet
Plaintext
self PlayLocalSound("sound");

What does your sound alias for this sound, look like?

PlaySoundAtPosition didn't work neither. Sometimes not and sometimes yes, like the others. Maybe it has to be with the .csv:

Wish I knew more about sounds and sound aliases,

^ Same here, but there's an entry 'probability' that's set to 0.4 I'm not fully sure, just guessing here, that sounds like that could be a 'chanche the sound actually plays'? maybe try setting that to 1 ?

again, just a wild guess..

Thank you! It seems that this was the problem. I can't remember where I got the alias from but, who the hell thought it was a good idea to set the default probability to 0.4?!
