Error 1- I cannot open it through launcher, it says "FAILED TO EXECUTE: asset_manager"
Error 2- Once I open it from bin folder, or desktop, when I go to open my custom textures files in source data, Ass. Man stops responding and closes.
Error 3- If for some reason it does open successfully, when I go to convert the texture, the black little box with blue text that is supposed to pop up, does not. The black box appears for maybe half a second, then disappears, and force closes Ass. man.

NOTE: I've reinstalled the latest version of Ass. man, and I have been running as administrator. Neither work.

as to it saying failed to execute i restart my PC then it works for me. the other errors you are getting though i have never seen before sorry

are you using the STEAM version?

I have these issues, and many compile issues. Exiting steam always solves them

Sometimes i notice when restarting steam there is a update to steam itself. Damn annoying, but possibly your cause (restarting would have closed steam)

** EDIT ** Also, not sure if it matters but some people recommend setting all exes in the bin folder to compatibility mode with XP service pack 3

Not to confuse anyone... But i have windows 8 and if I'm in the compatibility service pack I can't launch anything and get the same error he has. So if it's in comparability take it off, if it's off put it on.

I did what you said, but now when I go to convert assets, the converter force closes

When you run the converter through launcher, pretty sure it should populate in the console in launcher

Did you use that, or did you open asset manager and convert there? (shouldnt really make a difference but im curious)

I opened it from the Bin folder because it won't open through launcher

But converter should be running through launcher. Might be worth reinstalling those mod tools, things like that can be tricky to diagnose. Especially on later windows systems as there are loads of restrictions, especially towards files in "Program files (x86)"

I have reinstalled, multiple times. Idk what to do anymore, it's always been like this

ok, if i go over anthing weve already said just ignore it

1. Check you have patched your waw to 1.7 (if your a steam COD user, this will already be done)

2. Install the mod tools in the correct order using the

3. Also apply the UGX patch
4. go to "root/bin" and change all .exes to "run as admin". (I also set them to win xp service pack 3 compatibility mode)
5. this step may be unnecesary
      right click the root folder (The Call of duty folder) and click properties. Take off "read only" and apply changes to all folders and subfolders
6. Open launcher and run the converter

optional : you could go to control panel, and disable UAC control (also this is assuming you are a admin user on windows. If you are not then you wont be able to turn this off with out admin approval)

That should work, if it doesnt, id suggest re-downloading the mod tools, using the induvidual links in the UGX wiki, rather than the "complete set" link and try again

If you do all of this, it should work. Anything more than that id need to be on skype with ya or something
