after compiling my map, it gave me this error "(!) UNRECOVERABLE ERROR: EXE_ERR_HUNK_ALLOC_FAILED256"
ive seen it before and know you have to close some tabs too but before i remembered that i closed launcher and then reopened it and noticed that the ff assets count were not showing up for some reason. When i closed launcher at that time, I didn't have alot of windows open so idk. Im going to try to restart my pc and see what happens or possibly wait until I get an answer.

just spam the fuck outa build mod until it fixes. Closing google chrome helps if your computer is shit. That is usually just lack of resources (as far as I can tell) but spamming build mod always works

its not showing this error when building the mod, it shows after compile

I fixed it , just compiled it again after restarting pc

it is about how many and how heavy the programs are, that is running on the computer or in the background on it

I got the same problem too


I have only to close my browser and skype that used RAM:   browser: 1GB and skype sometimes 150 MB on RAM.

and it doesn't matter how many you have from RAM memory it will still crashing with the same error


yeah you have right sometimes it will also work by restarting the computer.

this usually happens if one of the following :

* A instance of cod is still running in the back ground, which is fairly common. Open task manager and youll see some random cod file running in there, although the game is not running

* A Steam update is pending

* you are doing too many things at once, the compiler ran out of memory part way through ( Prob a million internet tabs open or something )

* Something just generally messed up, requires a pc restart

* Sometimes just need to close and reopen launcher

* Some people report getting this error if they have Assman or Assviewer of FX editor open at the same time. I get it with FX viewer, so need to close it before compile. But others reported the Assman being open problem to me before, It just doesnt happen to me
