why is there a -0 respect thing on every ones profile if you carnt give people - respect? never gatherd out why.....

They took it out because the negative rating system wasn't a good way to rate a user/member. I speculate they were just too lazy to delete the \-0 in all profiles   (Only Trem could confirm this). I've heard the backstory on this once, but i already forgot it...

i think it would improve and encourage people to do better if they have more - respect than + respect it then tells any user if the person has posted good advice or tutorials or not then others will know know if they follow the given advice or tutorial then it may be bad advice or a bad tutorial but then i figerd that no1 really uses the respect as it was meant for anyway so

Its disabled because people use it as a disagree button wherever someone posts something they don't like.  It's not productive to give negative karma/respect because it is just a faceless way to annoy someone. The reason it's not removed from the profile display is because yes I was too lazy to ever edit the php to remove it.
