So I just got my windows 8 patch from Microsoft and now my mouse pad will not work
also when I try to move my mouse pad, the pointer disappears until i plug in my wired mouse.
I wanted to hear any of you guy's suggestions before taking this up with Microsoft support
Until then i cannot play my games without a mouse.
any will help in order to finish a project I'm working on

update 1: so i looked for the mouse program  that came with the computer: synaptics driver, but it will not run without some 64-bit program. the message pops up and closses before i can finish reading

Also i suggest you take it to the support of microsoft or the company your laptop came from, cause i have a Toshiba and i had a similar problem with my laptop speakers (eventually i fixed it buying external , the laptop speakers only work from time to time).

And i assume you checked your settings, cause sometimes an update changes some stuff.
