I have been working on my first map for a few weeks and I'm asking for inspiration/ideas and tips for building. I already plan to add some unique functions such as custom perks and new ways to buy them, as well as custom easter egg(s). There is also plans for "exploding" rooms. I have no idea what to call this map yet so it's just called "Forest." If anyone has any ideas, let me know.



This map includes/is to include so far:
  • Large/Massive map
  • Takes place in a forest
  • There is a cemetary
  • Small town location
  • Swamp location
  • Power plant
  • Buildable power
  • Der Eisendrache box models
  • Custom perks (from me and hopefully other mappers as well)
  • BO3 weapons, including Estulla Astoth
  • CoD: Ghosts weapons
  • BO2 weapons
  • Plans for a lake
  • Plans for a witch hut type thing for PaP/EE
  • Possible weapons from Advanced Warfare, Far Cry 3, Infinite Warfare, Modern Warfare, and probably more
Brief synopsis of story:
You gotta survive in a forest/cemetary/town/swamp/lake/power plant.

I have an interesting idea just because of the sheer size of this map but I won't detail it yet...

This user has access to the Black Ops 3 Modtools Alpha
the idea sounds nice but execution will be a totally different story, try make something like nacht der untoten sized, or just the village by itself since putting detail in such big concept sounds like would take forever. But if you focus your energy and concentration on only 1 smaller area but make it super beautiful and extra detailed people will enjoy it more then massive open areas that could potentially lack both quality and content still if dedicated enough i guess anything is possible ;)

 So that's why Quizz used the mp_castle.map in TMG Castle :P

I will certainly try. I was thinking I'd add the flamer zombie boss. Maybe I could add both? I don't know, I'm not there yet, and I wouldn't even know where to start with that.
