Hi, just wondered how I can have lights go out and lights come on wen I turn power switch, or a seperate switch/es that only operate after the power is on like the vending machines.

Make the light PRIMARY_SCRIPTABLE and add the KVP targetname = light_electric. Set the intensity very low (0.001) so taht it is off, and when the power is turned on, the light will automatically turn on too. The intensity for when the light is turned on is set using the script_float KVP.

what value do I put for the script_float.

tried in with 1, .5, and no value 

lights don't come on when switch flipped :(

still cant get it to work m8, getting frustrated as simple things I cant do.

Ive quadruple checked kvp's made new lights, and nothing.

Im still having problems with risers, Im sure my scripts cant be correct  :alone:

Since scriptable lights are primary lights, have you made it either PRIMARY_OMNI or PRIMARY_SPOT and does it target an info_null (as all primary lights need to have that because otherwise it will not compile into the map)?

I didn't have PRIMARY_OMNI or an info null  :lol: , Works a treat now, thanx Phil :)

On a side note, I did the reverse as well to turn lights off wen the switch is thrown :p

Is there away to make some of the lights flicker ?

I found this quick tut, but they don't flicker, or strobe. Also, the targetnames kvp is used meaning I cant use electric_light to they wouldn't  turn on with the switch and flicker.
