How do you stop zones?

is there a way to stop zone for spawning? for example if i opened up a door to start zone 1 and then i go into zone 2 how would a stop zone 1 from spawning with scirpting??

If you want to disable spawning in adjacent zones, don't make them adjacent in your mapname.gsc zone setup.

no i don't think you know what i am saying,  i have a part two of my map and because its like moon and earth i need to stop them from spawning on earth

My suggestion is still valid, don't mark the zones as adjacent. If zombies are spawning there, it means the zone script sees at least one player in a zone which has adjacent zones enabled, so it spawns zombies in the adjacent zones as well as the one the player is currently in.

typically, in the setup you would have zone_1 enter zone_2

now when he triggers zone_2, what is he to put in the parameter where zone_1 would usually be?

a dummy zone with no spawners?

you have to have 3 parameters right?

another method.

The function that spawns a single zombie takes the parameter of a zombie spawner (what you place in the map).

you can manually spawn in zombies in a while(level.in_intro_room) loop, and with a wait in round_start(), round 1 wont begin until you leave your intro area. (similar to moon)

but here the thing you buy a telporter and then you get telaport to the next place in the map so idk to make it so the zombies don't keep on spawning at the first part of the map

make a separate file for spawning the zombies in this isolated area

when you use the teleporter a variable level.players_in_special_room toggles between true and false

in some function

and when you leave the room you can use doDamage() to kill all the zombies on the map

I don't know if spawn_zombie() is the right function name, its something like that... ctrl + F for "ai =" in spawner.gsc or something

It's a Chrome bug we are currently trying to fix. You can still use all formatting functionality by manually typing the bbcode tags that the buttons would normally insert.
