I have followed this tutorial and all the buildables arwe working but does anyone know how to make the HUD icon appear? I have the pictures rdy to make into icons i just cannot get them added .

In that script there is no setShader (which implies that it's never set on HUD). Here's my tutorial on how to do it: http://ugx-mods.com/forum/index.php?topic=4174.0
dviiBenchSetup() inside the if( is_player_valid( player ) ) you would do player thread spawnElem("shader"), you can then do some logic checks to see how many hud elems there are by adding something in there as well like level.num_shaders++; (make sure to make level.num_shaders = 0 somewhere) then something like this in spawnElem's x position: 50 + (50 * level.num_shaders)
Should do it.
