Just make it blend and make sure texture is see-through one, like you can see bit of the checkerboard "behind" it
Im using a glass texture that was im mw3 for a watch on my viewhands so i never edited it

i did what u said i set it to blend instead of replace and i also ticked transparent down at the bottom just to be safe
