What converter? I downloaded the CoD4 mod tools and I need some of the models from the mod tools like the AK47 and M9 with joints, but they're just files and I don't know how to convert them into use able files in Maya with joints.

I'm not sure about Maya, but the AK47 and M9 will work just fine. You just need to fix the viewhands for ADS.
I converted it, but when I go to raw, xmodel, and look for a model, all of them still just say "file" and I can't use them in Maya.

You're not supposed to be able to use them in maya. Why would you need to if they are all already formatted correctly for COD5? Unless you are going to attempt in edit an animation or edit the model you shouldn't need maya.
