Hey, I decided to take a break with WAW modding and to continue with BO modding. The guns are all working great. I can use the console on a trainer to give me the guns. Cool? Yes, however: My edited script files don't work. I'm modding Call of the Dead, and I edited my _zombiemode_coast.gsc with this: Code Snippet Plaintext Copy iprintlnbold("test"); After: Code Snippet Plaintext Copy maps\_zombiemode_weap_sniper_explosive::init(); maps\_zombiemode_weap_nesting_dolls::init(); Also I added: Code Snippet Plaintext Copy maps\_zombiemode_weap_thundergun::init(); To load the thundergun script. This should make the thundergun properly working, right?... This is my mod.csv: Code Snippet Plaintext Copy rawfile,clientscripts\_zombiemode_ai_director.csc rawfile,clientscripts\zombie_coast_ffotd.csc rawfile,maps\_zombiemode_ai_director.gsc rawfile,maps\_zombiemode_player_zipline.gsc rawfile,maps\zombie_coast_achievement.gsc rawfile,maps\zombie_coast_ai_director.gsc rawfile,maps\zombie_coast_amb.gsc rawfile,maps\zombie_coast_eggs.gsc rawfile,maps\zombie_coast_ffotd.gsc rawfile,maps\zombie_coast_flinger.gsc rawfile,maps\_zombiemode_weap_microwavegun.gsc rawfile,maps\_zombiemode_weap_thundergun.gsc weapon,sp\m2_flamethrower_zt weapon,sp\wa2000_zm weapon,sp\wa2000_upgraded_zm weapon,sp\stielhandgranate weapon,sp\thundergun_zm I ticked all files (my custom maps/ folder with the scripts and the clientscripts) and build the mod. Followed the steps from Rollonmath's tutorial. But ingame, the text 'test' doesn't appear and the thundergun doesn't work. Shoot on George? Nothing. Shoot on zombies? Nothing. I feel like I'm getting close to where I want to be so I hope somebody can be of assistance.

Are you including zombie_coast.gsc in your mod.csv? Also, to check if your modifications are actually working, just comment out the call to _zombiemode::main()

No, rawfile will get the raw file right and not the one in the mod folder? Or am I incorrect?

No it'll search for mods folder first then in raw if it can't find whatever it's looking for.

rawfile implies the type of asset, basically anything that isn't an existing asset type.

Well, you need to include it.
rawfile,maps\zombie_coast.gsc

lol raw is a relative term really

gsc is a rawfile, Its hard to explain but when working with scripts that need to read/write to text docs or save values and stuff, its referred to as working with rawfiles

i believe it basically means - this file is data

just data, not a specific purpose like as a xmodel, or sound etc. Just a file full of data ( usually keys and values and stuff, in this case, script text )

Lol I always thought rawfile means get file from raw folder, which is actually pretty weird to think as the game already loads from the raw folder.

Okay, this works though now I get a bug (bad syntax). I don't even know which line or what the bad syntax is because it doesn't show me..
