how is it done ive added my weapon file to the ugxm_guns.iwd and in my weapons/sp folder and when i launch my map in devmap and type give m8a1 it doesnt do anything

you still have to edit _zombiemode_weapons
im on chat

its supposed to increase damange, but he hasn't got the code right yet, so it just increases jump height

dont know how to fix it
You either didn't export the correct nodes for that animation in maya( only "tag_ads" & "tag_view" instead of the whole rig and weapon hierarchy). Or you didn't correctly export a gunsleeves model for your animations.
