I have almost completed my map, but when I was testing it I noticed there were some problems I don't know how to fix them.
  • Zombies don't leave any powerup (I haven't changed the _zombiemode_powerups.gsc file but I don't know if other changes I made on other files could have affected them).
  • Sometimes zombies don't follow me. The map has three floors and sometimes if they spawn above me, they don't try to go downstairs and I hear they start trying to hit me or they return to the spawn zone.
  • And I don't know why and it doesn't happen always, when I open a new zone spawns doesn't activate.
Please help, I want to release my map but not with these errors. Thanks.

Zombies don't leave any powerup (I haven't changed the _zombiemode_powerups.gsc file but I don't know if other changes I made on other files could have affected them).

Make a trigger_multiple in radiant and cover the room entirely , press "N" and give targetname playable_area , to make a trigger multiple right click in radiant and select from the menu.

Sometimes zombies don't follow me. The map has three floors and sometimes if they spawn above me, they don't try to go downstairs and I hear they start trying to hit me or they return to the spawn zone.

Have you got info_volumes covering each zone in your map , and also check your pathnodes are connected correctly. Start your map and in console put devamp nazi_zombie_MAPNAME or if using UGX mod devmap ugx_mod_MAPNAME , then once the map is loaded type developer 1 hit enter then type ai_shownodes 1. This will show you all your paths in the map , you will see blue lines for good paths and red X for a blocked or disconnected path.  It sounds to me that you have not assigned each zombie spawner to a specific zone.

And I don't know why and it doesn't happen always, when I open a new zone spawns doesn't activate.
Please help, I want to release my map but not with these errors. Thanks.

When you make your door to the next room make sure to add the correct KVP to the door and the trigger use connected to the door. Also make sure to correctly assign your zones in MAPNAME.gsc to be adjacent, this makes the ai know what zone the player is in so the zombies can follow accordingly.

Its actually just for the spawn logic, some people "think" if they go to a place that is "not in a zone" they will stop and derp, this isnt true, they will follow the path nodes like normal if they exist, they glitch if there "is" a zone, but theres a problem with it

The "adjacent" set up, is just because zombies spawn in current or "adjacent" zones only

1.- I feel stupid :derp:. I didn't know I had to add that trigger. I followed some tutorials but I haven't seen it. Maybe I skipped that step :(.
2.- I did that and I found the spots where paths were disconnected. I could fix just one of them. I moved the rest of them and created more path nodes but they won't connect.

While I was writing it I looked at the doors where path nodes links broke and I saw some of them didn't have the spawnflags 1 KVP's (I'm very stupid xD). So I could fix two of them but the other two are still not working.

3.- It's weird. Spawns and zones almost always (99% of the times) work but I noticed a few times when I open certain zones I don't see the message that spawners at " " zone have been enabled and zombies won't spawn at that zone. I think it might be just a little bug.

Thanks for the help but if you know how to connect well those path nodes it'll be awesome.

zombies not spawning in a game called "zombies" is actually a pretty huge bug ;)

as is zombies that in several ways cant get to places, again, game breaking lol ;)

Anyway, I started thinking the path nodes aren't linked because of the height of the ceiling in that place. They are two path nodes placed in the door just before stairs and the ceiling isn't very high there. I'll try it tomorrow.

pathing and stuff is always tricky the first time anyway, doubt you will have this issue again

In reference to your zone issue, for it to work "occasionally" is impossible. You must be missing something, maybe the door works from one side, but not the other? Something like that, but a script "flag", cannot "occasionally" work - id definitely look into this further,  probably a over lapping zone or something

I think I found the zoning problem. It happened on doors that haven't a script_flag on the other side. For example, the first door had a script flag just on the side of the start_zone because of start_zone spawners were already enabled. And if I opened the door too close to it I think I was opening the door from the other side and no flag was set. I added the same script_flag on the two sides and it seems to be solved.
And I made the ceilings higher were path nodes didn't link and I fixed just one of them :'(. I don't know what is happening with that X.
