so i have maya 2012 with the cod tools installed but when i watch vids of how to port weapons i dont have the model exporter any help

Should try under window look for script editor eather (dont want to spell check it haha) copy the damn thing using notepad/notepad++ to your script editor. or you can just type in the file name in the script editor CASE SPECIFIC!!
