Bugs when using textures from cod 4 in cod 5

Hi,

I've imported all the textures from cod 4 to cod 5 by copying raw/images, raw/materials and raw/material_properties from cod 4 to cod 5. This worked fine, the textures show in Radiant and I can use them to make a cool map. Then I tried testing the map, but som textures just dissapeared while others we're really vague. So I figured the modbuilder failed to import the .IWI files to the maps .IWD file. And I was right. The textures weren't there. So for testing purposes, I copied all the WaW .IWI files into the maps .IWD file and tested it again without rebuilding. This time the textures that were fake before worked just fine. But the ones that didn't show up in the first place still weren't there. Besides all my text was like the Matrix code and the zombies blood was white, but I guess that has something to do with the unnecessary .IWI files.

How can I make the modBuilder import the correct IWI files to the IWD file?

you need to do them manually

The best way is to reconvert them in assman

then navigate to your root/raw/images folder

sort by "date"

and the latest ones you "touched" are at the top

Tom has a tool that will grab all images used in your mod, but ive never used it before

Also I hear that there are problems using the COD 4 material_properties, Id suggest converting them yourself instead

Uhh no, Cod 4 uses the same engine as World at War and you can basically just get the iwi files, material files and material properties and thats it, no need to go through asset manager, just so long as you include the iwi files in your images folder in your mod and check them in launcher.

I meant moving the images into the mod folder "manually"
