An Easy TO Follow Into Into Mapping in Mapping

Im not sure if anyone else has had this problem but I feel like a lot of people do. The problem is that there are no in depth beginner mapping videos or tutorials. Well, there are but 90% of them are out dated and the other 10% are either very unclear or just dont make sense. I have been playing CoD WaW for a long time and have always wanted to start mapping but I can never find a good tutorial. There are plenty of tutorials out there that are about how to use other mapping tools like Radiant and stuff but none of them focus on how to start making a map. What I mean by this is no one focuses in depth on what files to download and how to use Launcher and how to use UGX Script Placer. This to me is the hardest part and is the biggest problem for people who want to begin mapping. All i need is a straight forward, step by step guide on what files to download, what boxes i should select in Script Placer, what downloaded files go where, and how to use Launcher.
