[App] UGX Installation Creator v1.1
Changelog:
- v1.1: Added 32bit x86 support.
Description
This program will create an installer for your map. It also supports installing .bik files. When finished installing, it will create a shorcut to launch the map inside a folder named "UGX Community Maps" on your desktop. No annoying Start Menu shortcuts or folders are created.
You may ask "Why do we need this when we have the UGX Map Manager?". This will be used by mappers to initially package up their map for download in the Releases section - once a map has been downloaded, played, and approved by a UGX Staff member, THEN that map gets added to the UGX Map Manager. If the map is not approved for the Manager, it will remain as an EXE Installer download.
How to Use
This functions the same way that other map install generators work - it should be a familiar process to mapping veterans. There have been a few small improvements, however:
- You no longer have to choose a compression setting in the zip2exe screen - just select your ZIP archive and go!
- The installer will automatically find your CoDWaW installation regardless of your Windows version - if you have a non-regular install of CoDWaW which the program cannot find, it will only ask you ONCE to locate it - from that point on, it will remember the location you specified for future map installations.
- The installer is endorsed (and created) by our site, and using it helps promote us!
To pack up your map, simply follow these steps:
- 1. Locate your compiled map's folder. This will be in

9/21 Community Video Info

The recording date for this event is FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th at 6:00PM UTC/GMT
Use this conversion tool to help you figure out what time that is for you.
We asked you guys if you would like to see community gameplay videos with UGX Members every other Saturday (the days we don't have a feature video).
Not only did we get a resounding "yes!" from the comments section of YouTube, but it was also suggested multiple times in the 10,000 Members Contest topic replies.
September 21st 2013 will be the first Saturday Community Video release date. THIS IS NOT THE DAY IT WILL BE RECORDED! If you are interested in being a part of the video, keep reading below for dates.
Requirements for Participation
If you would like to be a part of this event, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must have a microphone to talk to us with.
- You must have an internet connection good enough to play with people on other continents (within reason). If you start lagging out, we will contact the next person in line for the event.
- You must have an open schedule on the day of the recording so that we aren't sitting around waiting for you. If you don't show up on time, we'll pick the next person down on the list and hesitate in letting you participate again in the future (barring legitimate excuses, health issues, etc).
- You must have Teamspeak installed. We will handle the in-game chatting with Teamspeak - if you are unfamiliar with this program, Google it and learn how to use it. Get your microphone configured for it in advance, please. [
