MAJOR issue when trying to load the game. No fixes have worked. please help.

I have currently over 300 hours in this game and haven't had this issue until now. The maps I had installed all worked just fine and the game worked perfectly before recently. I haven't installed any mods, only zombies maps and it's been an awful experience trying to fix it. When I try to load the game, even in safe mode, I get this message:

If anybody has any solutions please let me know as I'm unable to play the game when this keeps happening. I've verified the games integrity, I've completely re-installed the game, and I've backed them up and replaced them numerous times. Nothing is working.

If your not a modder and just a player check your appdata mods folder( where dl maps go ) for any loose files not in a folder.

If you have loose files can u check the dates to see what map they came from.

My mods folder is completely empty and there are no extra files in the location I found the folder at.

Make sure your "ugxm_pap_gun_upgrade" is in your mod folder and it's IWI,not dds or tga

My mods folder is empty.

If your not a modder and just a player check your appdata mods folder( where dl maps go ) for any loose files not in a folder.

If you have loose files can u check the dates to see what map they came from.

If there is no maps in the appdata mods folder then you shouldn't have a reference to a ugx mod image.
Go to the appdata folder and then go 2 directories back and check to see if there is another user profile that mods are installing to.

What's the last map you installed?

So, I cleared out the mods folder from the main user profile and then tried relaunching the game, and got the same error. The last map I installed was the Spongebob zombies map and that installed fine before the error occurred. So, where I'm at now, my main mods folder is empty. the user profile for my main profile's mod folder is completely empty, and I'm still getting the error.

I did as you said and nothing happened, so I did what any desperate human would do. I deleted every local file I have on my computer, uninstalled the game and tried to reinstall it fresh, with no files left on my computer. And still, I got the same error. This is really starting to frustrate me more than it has before.

In the console type

Logfile 1
Devmap "mapname"

It will load and crash and make a file called console.log in the program files/codwaw/mods/mapname folder.
In the file it will list the "appdata" files it loads and the iwd it loads at the top and in the middle it will list ".ff" loaded. Maybe you might find a mapname that will help you search.

I got it. I did exactly what you said to do and that did not help however I did go through steam and went to "Browse Local Files" and deleted the entire CODWAW folder then tried to verify the integrity, which then it reinstalled all of the files and it finally loaded up. Thank you for your help, that's the solution that worked for me. Thank you again I do appreciate it.
