How To Create A Model?

I want to know:how can i create a model,like a cool looking door, and then export it to waw xmodels(i dont know if this is the right one), and then use it as a prefab?
Can i use Maya?

Maya is the industry-standard tool for this.

theres also some google thing people always tell me about

apparently its a easy tool to use to make models and stuff, and exports to either blender or maya if you want to ( I think anyway, this is going off what other people have told me )

I used to use Sketchup for this but you have to be careful when you export the model to Maya because you sometimes lose some faces of it. But it's much easier to use than Maya.
