This is a guide for how to play the custom maps you find on this website. 1) You need Call of Duty: World at War. If you don't have it, you need to buy it. We do not support pirated copies and people often run into problems with them. You can buy the steam version here: BUY CALL OF DUTY WORLD AT WAR FROM STEAM You can also buy the DVD disc version from eBay or Amazon if you like, either will work. If you don't buy the Steam version, you will need to install all game patches up to 1.7. It is recommended to just buy the Steam version. YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE DVD PATCHES HERE 2) You need to download the UGX Map Manager. You can download it HERE and read how to use it HERE . Additional maps can be found throughout the releases section. 3) Now you can play the maps you installed in Step 2. To play the maps, either use the Launch menu in the UGX Map Manager or boot your game and click the Mods button from the main menu. Once in the menu you will see a list of maps that have been installed to your mods folder, highlight the mod you would like to play and hit "Launch". Don't fret if after launching the mod it's seems to bring you back to the main menu. You can tell you have a mod launched by clicking "mods" and having an option called "Launch without mods", implying you already have one loaded. 4) If the map has a solo button feel free to click it to begin playing. If not then you are required to use a console command to launch the map. Open the console by pressing the tilde or "~" key, it is located below the Esc button. If no command bar appears at the top of the screen this means you do not have the console enabled, to enable it set "Options & Controls>Game Options>Enable Console" to yes. Once you have the console bar open at the top of the game's window you can type this simple command below and press ENTER to begin playing: Code Snippet Plaintext Copy map *MAPNAME* *MAPNAME* - The name of the map you are looking to play. Ex: Code Snippet Plaintext Copy map nazi_zombie_420 If you have completed the above steps correctly, then congratulations you are playing your first custom zombie map! I am having trouble loading the map, even if I type the code in console it doesn't launch at all.

Got CODWaW for steam and when i download something with Mapmanager its not in my mods thing in CodwAw mods, i put it in there handy to but it still doesnt work for shit

Hey, I'm having a problem with the map manager. I got ugx_requiem to work for a few times when I started using the manager. Then after I restarted my computer while in a game session of WAW. I loaded up the manager and launched requiem again and it asked me to run it in safe mode and I said no because I really didn't want to change my controls again. After that, it didn't bring me to the custom requiem screen like it usually does, it brought me to the default WAW screen. I tested this on other maps from the map manager and it keeps doing it and I can't load up the maps through console either. I have absolutely no idea how to fix it. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it a lot!

I just recently got a new computer, and tried to run the map manager on it, but alas, it can't connect to this site. On my old computer, Windows 7, it worked just fine, no problems. But now, on Windows 10, even after giving it an exception on my firewall, it still says an internet connection can't be made, I'm not sure what to do since the servers obviously aren't down and the firewall exception has been granted. Just in case I've done something wrong, I'm trying to run UGX Map Manager 1.4.4 app and I've allowed a firewall exception to UGX Map Updater WForms. Thanks for the help! -Bdog

ok so i dont know where to put this, when i play a custom map and i lose with my friends we start the map again cause its fun, the game freezes not just the game but my whole computer crashes. is there something that i need to change on my computer, or in the mod manager settings?

So I downloaded everything, and it all went smoothly and I downloaded a map, it said it was ready so I loaded up the game, but then when I clicked on the mod tab, my map didn't show, so I tried another map, and then another one, no mods are loading, what could I do?

Hey, i was wondering if someone can help. So I installed a bunch of zombie maps w/ an anti virus. Then one day, i uninstalled the antivirus because it was eating up space on my laptop. then i went to go download MW2 rust and i went in mediafire and it said the page was missing framework? Anyway i want to know if it is related to mediafire installing that map or it's because i don't have a antivirus. Please reply ASAP.

Either Steam or buy disc from store. There are sites where you can get keys from as well, but Steam is the best option
