This is a guide for how to play the custom maps you find on this website. 1) You need Call of Duty: World at War. If you don't have it, you need to buy it. We do not support pirated copies and people often run into problems with them. You can buy the steam version here: BUY CALL OF DUTY WORLD AT WAR FROM STEAM You can also buy the DVD disc version from eBay or Amazon if you like, either will work. If you don't buy the Steam version, you will need to install all game patches up to 1.7. It is recommended to just buy the Steam version. YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE DVD PATCHES HERE 2) You need to download the UGX Map Manager. You can download it HERE and read how to use it HERE . Additional maps can be found throughout the releases section. 3) Now you can play the maps you installed in Step 2. To play the maps, either use the Launch menu in the UGX Map Manager or boot your game and click the Mods button from the main menu. Once in the menu you will see a list of maps that have been installed to your mods folder, highlight the mod you would like to play and hit "Launch". Don't fret if after launching the mod it's seems to bring you back to the main menu. You can tell you have a mod launched by clicking "mods" and having an option called "Launch without mods", implying you already have one loaded. 4) If the map has a solo button feel free to click it to begin playing. If not then you are required to use a console command to launch the map. Open the console by pressing the tilde or "~" key, it is located below the Esc button. If no command bar appears at the top of the screen this means you do not have the console enabled, to enable it set "Options & Controls>Game Options>Enable Console" to yes. Once you have the console bar open at the top of the game's window you can type this simple command below and press ENTER to begin playing: Code Snippet Plaintext Copy map *MAPNAME* *MAPNAME* - The name of the map you are looking to play. Ex: Code Snippet Plaintext Copy map nazi_zombie_420 If you have completed the above steps correctly, then congratulations you are playing your first custom zombie map! ugx doesn't work? i downloaded the manager but every time i open waw with the manager ugx never loads.

I downloaded a few maps and the manager, but when I click 'launch' or 'launch into solo' there is nothing in the mods folder, I created a mods folder myself and tried dropping the UGX .exe files in, nothing appears in mods folder, I ran the .exe files and nothing happens, its like running an unprogrammed software with the installing animation..... Please help, i don't know what to do! $:-\$

I get this error ('xmodeldelalias/ char_rus_guard_m_g_ramoffalias') no matter what UGX map I attempt to play, and there's not a single result on google that gives me any clue on how to fix this. If anyone can point me in the right direction and throw some suggestions my way on how to go about fixing this error it would be much appreciated.

when i try to launch a map it says 'Your CoDWaW instillation could not be found. Please try to navigate to it. The location will be saved to your registry so that other programs can correctly find your instillation' what do i do?????????

I'm guessing it wants you to find cod waw as it said it wants, just go to the folder within your app data

C:\Users\USERNAME\Appdata\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\

Unless you don't even have cod

hi just wanna say downlaoded and worked amazingly just on thing how do i add maps from the fourms and play them? the ones that arent on ugx_launcher

when you download them they will give you a .exe installer. Just double click and run it

What exactly isn't working? Map Manager? Game? Doesn't show up in mods?

Do you have an official copy of the game? Did you turn off your firewall? Try running the Map manager as admin? If you have Norton delete it?

Going to purchase WaW on PC now (never played a Shooter on PC as of yet) and start playing some of these maps all you guys have created. Btw they look awesome

I don't understand it is supposed to work. It was working fine yesterday but now it launches either the normal vanilla game or just crashes. Plz help. I also tried the console thing but that didn't work and its really frustrating.

hi all
sorry if i write this on the wrong post but needing some help am trying to play necro-city and its saying i need to download t4m mod tool i have the disc copy of the game and am confused as to where i need to put the file to as only seen people say about steam version of the game.
