Followed rain and Thunder tutorial, FX not showing?

I followed this rain and thunder tut:

ZM, I know....
But the FX part isn't working in game, I have the sounds working, and the flashes of light, but no rain fx, despite following the tutorial exactly?

Any idea where I could have gone wrong?

Also for some reason even after replacing the thunder sounds in the alias with my own, it plays the stock thunder sounds, and it is worth noting there was NO sounds in the directory the soundalias called for thunder.

I used this tutorial back when I made Overrun and I can assure you that the tutorial works.
Did you include the fx in mod.csv and did you precache it in your nazi_zombie_mapname.gsc

Yes, include,rain was used, in case it wasn't working, I added the fx stuff to mapname.csv, still no fx in game...
EDIT: Tried mod.csv still nothing.

Is it definitely right to do level effects in mapname.csv? and not _weather, the script they are used in?

the tutorial on ZM did not tell you to add the FX to load as i recall

first time i did it, i just added them to ugx fx, now i just added em to the precache in mapname - now that i know what that is lol

I have them called in mod.csv now, and I ended up making an init at the top of _weather, and adding all the level:effect stuff there, not sure if that is right, but I get in game, no FX :(

EDIT decided to re-add the UGX rain, since it does the job, I have the Thunder and sounds working from this tutorial, which is what I mainly wanted

look in the perk script i gave you

Fx need to be in mod.csv

but also, prior to zombiemode::main - they need to be loaded

so the init function for my perks is called before, if you look at the top youll see where i loaded mine, you can add yours in there too, or add em else where, as long as its called before main();
