Ok, renaming those 3 files causes my map to break, it will not run, and I have to run it thorugh map test1, which then crashes saying couldn't find BSP for test1.(randomnumbers)

Does this mean I either have to call my map Test 1 somehow again or Co op will never work?

Ive no idea why it shouldn't work, Cant I just somehow make co op in the menu recognise the map as being renamed to Stranded rather than showing as Test1 and asking for Test1.ff and whatnot?

OK, I have all but fixed it, but now this old error:

server script compile error: couldn't find script: animscripts/dog.init.gsc

Yes, I have compiled mapname_patch (usual fix) and tried everything else, If someone can help me fix this I can release the update for my map

if your having to put "test1" in the console... then your map files name is set to test1

go to map_source and rename it, its not working coz half of its files have had the name changed so it cannot find them

is this "exactly" what the error says? "animscripts/dog.init.gsc"

coz a filename should not have a . in it, or it becomes a file called "dog" and the type of file becomes "init"?

can you look in animscripts and tell me exactly what that file should be called?

I have re done the map now, it works with map stranded, and co op is showing stranded as mapname, indicating that's all working.

But how would I got about fixing the dog_init error? Are there any significant differences in using UGX script placer after using SPZ initially, I think mapname.gsc would be the only one affected, and what needs changing if anything?

dude, this is getting confusing...

type the "exact" error. does it says dog.init or does it say dog_init

if its the first, it should probably be the latter

server script compile error: couldn't find script: animscripts/dog_init.gsc

But after adding Stranded_fx.gsc and Stranded.csv back into the mod, it now gives bad syntax from this line of the dog script:  #include maps\mp\animscripts\shared;

After removing the dog_init from my mod, it is back to the top error...

Im off my Pc now so cant get the script, but it is the exact one with no changes taken from raw/animscripta/dog_init.gsc
So you will be able to find it there, im not sure if that will fix it as the error is saying the script as a whole is missing. In every other case of this error compiling mapname_patch fixes it, but not in this case

Tried commenting out the first 3 lines of dog_init just to see what happened:

Seems to be looking for multiplayer scripts, somehow.

No idea why my map just wont work... I cant leave it with broken co op

Okay, FIXED IT! by commenting out the animscripts dog_init line in zombiemode_dogs.gsc.

BUT then, this line of mapname.gsc is giving bad syntax:

No idea how to fix it, someone please help? Commenting out that line throws the bad syntax to the next line down?

EDIT: Map fixed completely now, there was some unneeded text at the top of the script giving the syntax.
