BO2 Knife anims ported, knife appears wrong in hands on guns except start pistol

So I ported the BO2 knife animations, and the BO2 knife model, in maya, I attatched tag_knife to tag_knife_attach on the hands, and had to rotate the knife around 90 degrees for it to sit right in hands during anim, I dragged anims on, they work fine.

In game, I tested them on my start pistol, they work fine, yet on ANY other gun, the knife appears as if I hadn't rotated it, despite the same anims, knife model and viewhands

Im not sure how to do the anim model exactly since its a knife and join weapon to rig doesn't work, I ended up attaching tag_knife to tag_knife_attach on the hands, then rotating the knife, and using that as animated model

This happens if you try to import the WAW slash/stab xanim as well. When the engine attaches the knifemodel to tag_knife_attach there is a rotational offset, but for some reason only if tag_knife_attach is a child of j_wrist_le. Are you sure the starting pistol is using the newly converted xanims and not the original ones? If anything you should just experience the viewhands being slightly more forward, since it's common for WAW viewmodel anims to have different offsets to tag_torso opposed to BO1 or BO2 viewmodel anims. The default tag_knife_attach design in WAW is pretty bad though, I had to do it differently to achieve everything seen in melee mod v2.

Im using BO1 viewhands if that makes a difference, ive noticed hands seem to be quite far out during working melee anim, and im using converted BO2 anim on all weapons, by renaming it to waw anim name and overwriting waw anim (Backed up ofc) Yet for some reason the start pistol is exempt from the problem
