1. Identity Crisis
2. The Road to Civil War
3. Civil War
4. Batman:Year One
5. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns

I know they're mainstream but I'm just a huge fan of these characters and the great writing they've been given in these stories. I'm also a crazy huge fan of the animated TV show Justice League and Justice League Unlimited.

i think the first one i read was Batman: The Killing Joke and it's what made me love comic books/graphic novels in general. i was so freaking amazed by how it shows the twisted relationship between batman and the joker, i don't remember how many times i read it :D (the animated adaptation of it was shit though). apart from that i also love frank miller's the dark knight returns, flashpoint stuff in general for showing alternate versions of the characters we know and love and watchmen for taking comic books to a next level. i think it's a form of art that is very underrated and i want to see people work on comic books/graphic novels that aren't about super heroes too which is why i started working on one around a year ago (it's pretty freaking far from being done though :-\)

if i tried to explain what it's about it'd take me a couple of pages here  :D let's say it's kind of a mythological story with its own lore and all. i still need to find an illustrator because i can't even draw a stick man to save my life lol.
