I've fixed the issue where YouTube links with https:// prefixes instead of http:// were not embedding on the forum.
For a while we have had a bb code download button that could be used by typing

but it would appear not many people have figured out how to use the code from quoting my posts So now there is a button for it [ ] on the posting page.
