I sorted it now, just took out a weapon and all its pap variants (dragunov) I was at the limit anyway, game over cameras are in and its working okay :D

right, but be aware you will keep hitting this error

Theres lots of room you can make, its better to do it now, rather than constantly hit the error everytime you add something, causing you to remove something else

Stevie taught me a lot about getting around the memory limit

some examples were

+ Having a copy of the weapon files in "raw", and taking the FX out of the ones in your mod folder - might be the otherway around i forget lol

+ Removing all duplicate sound aliases - there are a ton, and sounds are memory heavy in COD for some reason, especially custom sounds

+ Making sure you dont have duplicate textures in use

+ Reducing the size of "large" textures if you have any



Theres loads of things you can do really, but if you consider how much Stevie managed to ultimately fit in his map, it proves just how much space you can make, if you look into it ;)

That's what I was thinking, im thinking of after this working on a small scaled map to give me lots of practice on fine detail, and this will probably come in use then, and If I want more guns, im gonna need it.

The soundaliases are an easy fix, as when I first added guns, I copied soundalias for pap version, when all I need to do is copy the alias for the 2 firesounds within the first alias

you prob dont even need 2, most people use the same sound for NPC and PLR

And yeah i did the same, working on a smaller project, give myself a bit more experience before tackling my beast of a proper project lol

Ok now I need to do 2 things that I need help with, Rename the whole mod and map, I thought script placer z would do it but it only renames the .map file...
Is it just a matter of going through every file for the map and renaming it? if so is there a list of which files need renaming?

EDIT: This is sorted, script placer Z did work :D


And 2, add my custom loadscreen, I have the image, but am unsure how to add it as a loadscreen, if anyone can help with either issue it would be appreciated :D

if you just wanna change the name, usually you just use a script placer to create a map with the desired name, go find your old map file, and rename it

so if your called it nazi_zombie_test first and nazi_zombie_mymap second

create nazi_zombie_mymap, then go to map_source, locate nazi_zombie_test.map and rename it to nazi_zombie_mymap


The loadscreen i cant help with im afraid, but im sure someone else will be along before long

Alright so after playing around with the beta you have provided me I have some things that I came across. I haven't read all three pages of this topic so correct me if they've already been brought up. I would message you but I can't yet for some reason maybe because of my profiles newness*.

Alright so the good:
Fun map
Big map
not easy, not hard
good mix of weapons
good recreation of kino room
pathing is good
Cool location

The bad, or not good:
On round 6 some zombies got stuck somewhere randomly on the map and were frozen just an error I came across, but I don't know if it can be fixed. Not a major issue.
Hard to tell where to go to find mystery box because you start indoors, unless theres some indicators to show that I may have missed.
The "Sten" rifle has in my personal opinion too much recoil but that also adds some difficulty, no biggie.
*BIG In the box room near the perk machine in the corner I went to camp, what I found is that the zombies move towards  the perk machine more then move towards the player. Then if you move from the area you're at the zombies move to the corner that you were in first. That seems like a pathing issue idk if it can be fixed.
*BIG Using quick revive in single player is a little glitched. The zombie move away from you properly but you are able to reload, keep running, and keep walking while being downed. In my opinion this is a big issue because it can make a sticky situation a bit too easy. As long as you move while downed you can walk anywhere before falling. This seems like it should be changed. 

For my test that was all I encountered. I may give it another go and update if I find anything new. Good work so far though, the map is completely playable for a custom map. No zombie pile ups or glitches like that were found. :) The lighting is okay, maybe add fog and darken it if you can to add effect. :)

Those things do sound like pathing issues and the quick revive thing happens on BO1 and 2 even now

If your sprinting "as" you are downed, you stay up until your sprint time expires, during that time you can still move, dont know what you mean about the reload thing though? Can you explain in a little more detail?
