So I get this when I open up my map in radiant... No idea on how to fix this. This is also making it to where I cannot compile my map.

So I'm trying to turn a blood stain texture to a more purple tinted color, I know you can change the color of water textures by pressing G, but is it possible for normal textures such as a blood stain decal?

did you take read only off your entire call of duty folder? That solved the unable to move to appdata issue for me
Yes. But it literally just doesn't work ALL the time for some reason. But, that isn't the issue I dont believe, considering I have been doing it for past maps and they all run and work fine

Do you continue working while it is compiling or building? I've noticed strange things with different launchers. Some launchers/tools don't like it if you save something while it is building or compiling. Definitely if you build or compile while cod is running, weird things tend to happen.

My administrator privileges are a little messed up so whenever I build my mod, I get errors so I have to copy and paste the folder. (I have been doing this forever though) But this issue Im currently getting hsd only happened with 2 maps, it seems to happen more when I add more CoD4 models to the map

So this is the second map I have had this issue with. I'm pretty experienced with my mapping at this point, but this is very strange. So the problem... sometimes I will compile and build my mod, or even just build my mod, and I get no errors. Keep in mind I also have to copy and paste my mod from my "programs 86" folder to my actual App_data folder) But Once I load up the map, VARIOUS things have happened...

The gun doesn't load in game
Textures randomly disappear
Images from ported xmodels turn white, as if I never added the images
I spawn in the map in Spectator mode. (this is the really odd one)

AND I also get menu errors when loading the mod. Such as:
FX errors
Script compile errors
Missing folders errors

These are mainly it. But the things is, I usually just have to Re-compile and re-build, and it works FINE. without changing any of the False errors that the game gave me. This is really weird and hard to explain so if anyone has any idea how to fix this, that'd be great

make sure "all" exes in the bin directory are set to run as admin, and in compatibility mode for either xp or vista

right click each one, one at a time and open "properties"
hmm when I switched radiant to "run as admin" I got the same type of error I did with the sounds...

It's from the mod tools so get it.
I just checked, it is already in there..

bin/MODSound.exe doesn't exist.
Is there a way I can get it back?

EDIT: I just looked in my bin and it in fact in there

So I'm adding custom sounds. Custom round start/end sounds specifically. But every single time I build my sounds, I get this error
"FAILED TO EXECUTE: MODsound -pc -ignore_orphans"

This also happened before when I tried adding easter egg music. How do I fix this?

I have some weapons that have much distinctly louder fire sounds than other weapons... some are so quiet that the reload sounds are louder. But I took a look at the sound files and compared, and none of them have any differences... in fact, the quiet ones sound just as loud as the louder ones in Audacity. Is there some sort of scripting issue here? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Your dog probably managed to change your worldspawn settings, I bet if you check them you have an extra kvp. I had the same problem and I had accidentally added a radius kvp

So my dog stepped on my keyboard and clicked a bunch of random things while I was on Radiant. Now whenever I select or create a new brush or select a terrain patch, this big circle just sits there... indicating the center of the brush I believe, but how can I make it go away?
