Topics - CyberMan1011

It's been a while since I last logged in here. I've been slowly losing interest in video games due to the fact that, imo, there doesn't really appear to be any games that are worth playing nowadays, and as such, I've kinda took a long break from playing WaW and logging into this site, in general.

I came back here out of curiosity to see how things were.

Not gonna lie, I was kinda surprised. Besides the release of Der Berg (congrats on that, c.h.n. :D), it looks like WaW mapping has been slowly going down since then and there doesn't appear to be any more quality maps out there.

Maybe it's just me but I also don't see the popular mappers/users that used to go here often...you know, go here that often anymore. Have they too lost interest in mapping or did they move to the Steam Workshop (or someplace else)?

Speaking of which, I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this, but has BO3 Custom Zombies been looking disappointing to anybody else recently? You would think that people would be able to make better maps now that it's been out, but I have yet to see an actual popular map that's actually...good.

I'm not kidding. Every once in a while I still check out TheRelaxingEnd's channel, and all I've been seeing are "remakes" of other zombie maps or maps that aren't even finished yet. And this has been pretty disappointing tbh. I know this'll take a long time to pull off, but I was hoping to see some kind of map that looks and plays just as good as an official Treyarch map, or maybe some map that allows you to finish the game with an epic exit like what Gorod Krovi did...seeing how better BO3's engine is compared to WaW's, I'm sure something like that can be done.

So besides all of that...how have things been on here lately?

What happened to him?  :( I noticed his account got deleted...

So with the mod tools coming out (and since BO3's engine has a lot more capabilities than WaW's engine), I would assume that people can now make bigger maps than the highest limit that WaW allows you to make.

However...just how big can these maps be, exactly? For MP, will it be big enough to be able to create, say, one of those huge surf maps that Valve Source games have? And what about Zombies? There are a few game locations that I would've loved to see as a zombies map in WaW, but it probably wouldn't be possible due to engine limits...would it be possible to put it in BO3 and perhaps make it bigger than it was before?

I feel silly for having to make this into a thread since I kinda already thought of a decision but I'll do it anyways.

So I bought myself a 3DS around the time Pokemon X & Y came out...I don't hate Pokemon but I don't own nor do I play any of the games. I could never get into Pokemon no matter how hard I tried so buying Pokemon Y was a mistake tbh

Just a few more months before it's 2017...and I still haven't even gotten halfway through Pokemon Y and I don't even remember the last time I touched my 3DS. I do admit that there are quite a lot of good games for the 3DS, but as enjoyable as they look I don't plan on buying them anytime soon, sadly.

So...should I sell it?

So Idk if any of you still remember this but 2 years ago or so somebody named "offthewall" managed to find a way to implement real duel-wield weapons in WaW (though they still had some issues), and later on he experimented with a new type of duel-wield weapons which he called "Hybrid Akimbo". Basically you're duel-wielding different weapons at the same time (pistol with a shotgun, revolver with an SMG, etc.), and like his regular duel-wield weapons they still had some issues but the fact that he managed to put that into WaW looks really cool imo

Here's a video if some of you don't know what I'm talking about:

Anyways, so with mod tools coming out for BO3, I would assume that the engine limits for BO3 are much, much higher than that of WaW's engine so now we can implement a bunch of cool stuff in BO3 that probably would've been a pain in the ass to do in WaW (or just impossible). Since the mod tools allow people to port custom weapons (and since BO3 has duel-wielded weapons), I can easily see people creating their own duel-wielded weapons too but are hybrid akimbo weapons still possible in BO3?

I'm probably in no position whatsoever to be saying this, but why is the Custom Maps Ideas section still a thing? It makes sense that nobody really replies to the topics with excessive custom features or weapon ideas, but I've seen actual good ideas from several people and they rarely get any attention on there, let alone a single person who might even be interested in actually mapping it.

I'm aware that some of the ideas were actually made into maps (or at least some of them were worked on a bit before getting cancelled) but I rarely see that happen, too.

I didn't see anybody record some gameplay of the "Shipment" gamemode from the Project Contamination map, so I humbly submit my attempt at it:

In this gamemode, the game makes any buyable doors un-buyable, forcing you to stay in the starting room for the entire game. It might sound hard at first, but at the game progresses you slowly start getting free perks every 5 rounds.

I know there are other players in this community that are better at this game than I am, so if you think you can get past my record feel free to submit a video showcasing it if you'd like  ;)

I just finished watching it and tbh I thought it was kinda lame

The music they used for the video was kinda trashy compared to the music from before

And did anyone recognize any of the YouTubers from this year?? Aside from Markplier and a couple of Viners I didn't know any of them  :derp:

Thoughts?

If you haven't watched it yet, here it is:

Haven't seen anyone else suggest this yet (though I probably know why already  :troll: ), but I was thinking...

...Maybe somebody could create a custom game mode called "DS Mode"?

On the DS version of BO1, the Zombies game mode kinda works a bit differently than what we're all used to. I don't remember much of it since I haven't played it in a long time (it's pretty terrible), but I DO remember that it's actually a lot harder than it should be.

-When grabbing Double Points, the price of anything you can buy gets doubled by 2x as well; this was a huge pain in the ass, as some doors in the game costed 5000 points and grabbing the power-up would increase it to 10,000 points  :fuuu:

-Grabbing Fire Sale didn't make mystery boxes spawn everywhere, but rather, it decreases the price of everything by 50%

Doing some research on the internet, I also found out that in the DS game mode there's no perks, Pack-a-Punch, or even a single Wonder Weapon available. There's also no spinning animation when going to the Mystery Box, so you can't even tell which weapon you can get when buying weapons from there.

Maybe this game mode could be tailored towards those who want a challenge?

Much like the last Gun Game challenge I did a long time ago (which nobody ever noticed, it seems  :alone: ), the challenge here is to try and complete Gun Game in the start room only as fast as possible.

Here are the rules:

-You can only stay in the start room
-No Quick Revive (I think it's disabled anyway)
-Timed Gameplay must be turned on
-Game Speed must be set to 1x
-No buyable doors can be removed

You can use any kind of mutators you'd like as long as they aren't headshots only or ADS only.

Here's my attempt:

Note: I actually didn't manage to win :troll:
Because of this no one is actually in first place right now

I was pretty close though...so yeah. You can post proof that you won via videos or photos, whatever suits you best.

Let's see if YOU can accomplish this (maybe I'll try again in the future  :accepted: )

Was going to consider putting this in modding but I wasn't really sure if that wasn't the right place so I'll just ask here instead.

So somebody from another forum extracted the weapon sounds from Halo: Online and I've been trying to identify them myself but so far I've only been able to identify a few sounds. I can't play the game anymore since it won't launch, it seems, so I can't use it to shoot the weapons and try to identify them.

I've also tried looking at YT videos but they either have music or other loud SFX playing in the background (making it harder for me) or I'm just probably deaf.

Would anybody like to help out? If I ever finish this I can send these to anybody via PM who wants to use these sounds for their weapons for any custom map they happen to be working on atm

Has anybody tried this out yet? From what I've seen it's a F2P multiplayer shooter (with some micro transactions to help[ you win more, unfortunately) made with a modified Halo 3 engine released on PC...in Russia only though :please:

However some people managed to mod the game and you can now play it outside Russia...I've seen some gameplay videos of it and it looks pretty fun :D

Not sure if this has been discussed before, but what does UGX plan to do after the UGX Mod is finished?

Although the zombie storyline featured in Treyarch's past CoD games (which was disappointing imo) has come to an end, there's no doubt that it's going to return in Treyarch's next CoD game coming out this November, especially since it helps Treyarch earn shit tons of money from it.

Now, since the storyline has ended, it's very likely that Treyarch will have to come up with a new zombie storyline for their next game. My question lies here:

Whether it be features, sometihng regarding the storyline, or just anything in general relating to zombies, what would you like to see in the gamemode in Treyarch's next CoD game?

I've been watching some gameplay videos of UGX Requiem, and noticed that the AK-12 happens to be in mod

I can't tell really clearly because the commentary over the video kinda drowns out most of the sounds, but does the AK-12 re-use the MW1 AK-47 sounds?

I have the sounds to the BF4 AK-12 and if it's allowed, I would like to know if I can...say, "donate" these sounds (privately, of course) to the dev team and see if anyone in the dev team would like to consider putting them in :)
