So uh... What does it mean when it says "delete the first 12 bytes of data"?
Look up what a byte is.

You can also just use Ain't No Me In Team's FF dumper and it will create the same zlib file for you, in .dump format (attached).

You can also just use Ain't No Me In Team's FF dumper and it will create the same zlib file for you, in .dump format (attached).

alright so i got the .dump file but i can't find the external progs menu mentioned here:

As I said above, the FF dumper creates the zlib file for you. There is no need to do that step if you have the dump already.

Try common_mp.ff.

Just did. That didn't help either.

It looks like the .ff's aren't being fully decompressed. 3/4's of it is still just random letters and values.

Just did. That didn't help either.

It looks like the .ff's aren't being fully decompressed. 3/4's of it is still just random letters and values.
Of course they are, the dumper only decompiles plaintext and sound. Anything you find in there that isnt readable is compiled files or a file format like a sound file.
