If Java had true garbage collection, most programs would delete themselves upon execution.

When was the last time it worked? What things have you added in your GDTs since then? Most likely one of your GDTs has a corrupt line in it and its crashing converter.exe when it checks if the GDTs are up to date before converting the current asset.

I used johndoe's batch thingy (he sent me the files) and it got stuck converting one of the GDTs, think it came up with the same error message and then I closed it. I wasn't aware there was a problem until just now when I tried to convert a material. I have deleted both the GDTs and the .bat files that I converted last, but I just get this error.

Things to do before you can say that you remaster anything:
1. To know exactly wich means "To Remaster"
2. To have the master (the original or original files)
3. Be sure that you really are improving the original, in the case of a videogame level, be sure the textures and fx's at least receive some kind of improve.
Otherwise you only use a tag, a fake tag.

I had a similar problem trying to convert materials of .gdt and I fixed removing all .gdt files of source data and rebuilding line by line own .gdt including only things really I needed.
