I was making a map and it crashed while saving which ended up destroying my map, but Black ops 3 can still load a previous version of it. I've tried loading the .map from mod_source in Radiant to an empty unnnamed map and I've even tried looking deep in the files for my uncorrupted one.

Is there a mod folder in the BO3 root file or does it load maps from Mod_source or Usermaps?

When maps are compiled the files are stored in root/usermaps/mapname/zone

You probably won't be able to get anything back from it though since it is compiled and the .map file isn't part of the compile.

However, I do believe that inside map_source/zm there are all the map files along with backup files(.BAK) that you can try to use.

Dang.. Well I guess I'm out of luck since the .bak and .map in map_source are apparently corrupted as well. Least I can still load up the uncorrupted version in-game but it sucks I can't do anything more than just look at it. Really appreciate the help though.

Yeah Radiant sucks as hell with this bug, it even corrupts the .bak
But I have a good news for you, Radiant does make autosaves which are stored in another location.

Here are all the autosaves made by Radiant :
Code Snippet
Plaintext
Navigate to BO3 folder > Radiant > autosaves

Just copy the most recent autosave and place it back where your corrupted .map is ;)

Radiant saves backups of you map and they can be found in the folder   Call of Duty Black Ops III\radiant\autosave_backup
You can reload one of these files to get your map back.
