I am pretty sure I know the answer to this but if by chance you (me) accidently delete the worldspawn, that map will never open up again in radiant and there is absolutely no chance of fixing it, correct?

If you open it enough times after deleting the worldspawn it will usually erase itself.
you can open the .map in notepad and add the classname worldspawn settings back manually if thats the problem. a bad skybox kvp can cause it to crash also. As long as your .map isn't 0 bytes it can be loaded.
Check a working .map to get worldspawn settings.
