I tried adding my custom type 99 LMG prefab into my map and it gave me this error:

Code Snippet
Plaintext
WARNING: FOUND A SELF-REFERENCE MAP _prefabs/custom/zombie_type99_lmg

Does anyone know of a fix?

It means your map file is referencing itself as a prefab...

Which creates a paradox for the compiler. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-reference

That's strange because i created the prefab after i made the map. guess ill just have to use something else.

Huh? The problem is that there is a prefab entity within _prefabs/custom/zombie_type99_lmg.map which has _prefab | _prefabs/custom/zombie_type99_lmg as a KvP, causing a self-reference.
