but in ugx-traps video the locker had a tv with what seems to be an animated texture but only god knows how they made that

sorry man i want to avoid using fx too but our only hope right now is wait until ugxmod comes out to see how they made that work

The TV is just an animated gif as suggested earlier in the thread. I positioned it in a fx, aligned the fx by using a joint location on the traps machine model, then spawned the fx on the model's tv tag. I don't know why using IW didn't add a materialType for placing animated textures on models directly, but they didn't - so FX is currently the only way. CoD5 does not have a way of playing cinematics on models (but CoD4 does!!)
