I got this error when compiling a weapon file in my patches csv in radiant.. "WARNING: "weapons/sp/test_gun" Is too long of a weapon file to parse (fileLength = 10722 identifierLength = 10)".. I know what your gonna say is shorten it, but whats in there I need.. Any help? - Teddi

It means the actual content of the weaponFile is too long - as in it has too many settings in it. I assume you copied it from BO1 or something because it would take a lot of useless spam to make a CoD4/WaW weapon file long enough to hit this error. Download my WeaponsEditor++ and use the Convert feature to remove all the unused settings from the file.

I'm using your weapons editor.. The thing is the gun is literately a copy of the rayguns weap file, with a new model...? the ray gun is from ugx

iirc you can remove the "anim note-track style playback" shit like this: firstRaiseSoundPlayer putawaySoundPlayer you can remove as those already exist in notetracks.
(I'm assuming that these don't control 3rd-person sounds.)
Edit: Remove the nightvision stuff without a doubt: nightVisionWearSound, etc.

Well then you have to remove more items that don't have any reason to be in a weapon file or you could shorter your soundaliases.
