I was looking at the customization screen and there was some stuff in there that wasn't in the challenges listed. For example the Capt. Price character was there but there was no explanation on how to unlock it. How do I get some of these things.

Only the custom characters aren't listed. To gain them you have to level up your rank. The actual ranks for them I am unsure of.

Well after doing more research I had found that on some of the UGX youtube videos people were also asking and from one of the replies you are able to get the capt price model when you hit level 50. I wish challenges and ranks carried between maps though. That might be something that I would work on if I gained such knowledge on how to start such a thing.

Cannot cross stats across different mods. Means that it wouldn't be possible with just the engine.

why don't you guys make it like it was on zombie realism mod? i'm not saying the current system is bad, but it would be better to have the same stats on every map with ugx mod.

Then every map would have to be added to the mod with a patch. Way too many patches for that and we don't like that format. Furthermore maps that are extremely easy can be used for XP farming which we don't want. Don't fret, you may see a work around in the future.
