Anyone point me in the way of a good video editing software that can make smexy intros with effects, I have googled it but I just wanted to know what people are using on here? cheers

Maya if you're willing to wait for the render and to actually learn to animate and use dynamics. Not linking because most people have Maya.
No clue how well 3ds Max does rendering.
You could also use video capturing tools like FRAPS, CamStudio, Camtasia, and a bunch of other programs.

If 30 days is enough time for you to make an intro or whatever, you should be fine. Otherwise, there are other ways that I'm not allowed to mention.
