This is prolly a stupid question but i never had experience with this situation so I went from win10 to 8 yesterday  and i have the windows.old fodler with all of my maps files in it. I want to bring the map i made before i changed windows 10 to 8 back, like recover my map kinda. How would i do that?

I want to bring the map i made before i changed windows 10 to 8 back, like recover my map kinda. How would i do that?

Navigate to your old steam directory in your Windows.old folder and it should still be in the World at War map source folder.

Thanks you for the quick reply and i mean like what would i do with the fodlers. And files in windows.old? Like do i have to create a map using script placer with the sane name then drag the files from my map in windows.old to the one i just created with the same name?

I suggest just copying over what you need. If the map is stock you should only need the map_source and the map folder in your mods directory. If not, i do not recommend copying/pasting entirely over your new mod tools install as it can cause conflicts/break the tools.
