Need advice on deleting, and reinstalling modtools

When attempting to play my map, i was unable to load it due to an error in the scripts. After many hours of troubleshooting, i decided i would completely start from scratch
Since i don't want to have the same problems as last time, i ask for your help.
It would be appreciated if someone could link me updated, working modtools as well as a script placer. And show me how to properly delete my old tools, and replace them. As well as properly using the converter, and compiler
