Asset viewer exported model help

Hey guys, I'm trying to bring BLOPS 2 models into WaW. I've taken the models with Lime and have the XMODEL_EXPORT and .dda/.tga files. I've used the asset_manager to save out the model (xmodel) and skin (material) as gdt files and converted the files but they still don't show in the asset viewer.

I moved the newly created .gdt files to raw/xmodel and asset viewer lists the models but they don't show up when clicked. It's strange that the texture file is also converted to a .gdt file. when command line come do you see a error or it just says like this ?

EDIT: Here's a walkthrough of exactly what I've done...
* Installed BLOPS 2, run BLOPS 2, run Lime, exported model from Lime with default settings (.XMODEL_EXPORT, .tga and .dds files are exported)
* Installed Waw
* Downloaded Modtools and placed files into WaW folder (steam/steamapps/common/Call of Duty World at War)
* Coverted assets using Modtools (launcher.exe)
* Copied exported Lime files into model_export folder
* Run asset_manager.exe, Created xmodel (rigid, linked to .XMODEL_EXPORT), saved as .gdt into model_export folder and converted)
* Created material, linked to .tga for normal and .dds for colour, saved as .gdt into model_export folder and converted also)
* Put a copy of created .gdt files from asset_manager.exe into raw/xmodel. (I can now see models appearing in asset_viewer.exe list but they appear invisible).

Nope. It didn't convert. When you just see the cmd saying like this. " conversion complete. Press any key" it mean it didn't convert.
Hit copy to and make a new gdt. Save the gdt first or it won't also convert it. After saving. Find xmodel. Click on it and hit paste from. Now change the name of you model, if you want. And hit F10.

And did you srsly put your gdt in raw/xmodel? All gdts go in root/source_data.

How many models are in your xmodel folder? Asset Viewer can show max 8192 models in the list.

I will try this later when I'm home - fingers crossed :) And yes I did put them in raw/xmodel to test if there were in the wrong place as the tutorial I followed didn't say source_data either.


There is deffo no where near the limit in Asset viewer I'm on like 10 lmao :)

glad to hear you fixed it.
Just to make you know. Rigid = models that actually just for decoration like not guns or something "Models that don't use anims" .
Animated = Models that do use anims. like guns. player head etc..

should set a lod distance, not leave it on 0 as thats "infinite"
