I have quite a major problem, I was mapping nuketown and with radiant open, uninstalled my and drivers and reinstalled them to a newer version. But after I restarted I realised my .map file was empty, nothing in the file whatsoever except "iwmap 4" on the first line. I really just need any ideas you guys have to help get this file back, maybe from the autosave files are some were considering I had it open about 30 minutes ago. Really stressing right now

restore points dont restore "files" anyway. Only system critical files and settings

if you made a word doc and put text in it, then reverted to a point 20 years ago, the file would remain

Or just be "sensible" and dont mess with the inner workings of your PC and drivers while "using" your pc and drivers

Im yet to have a map just randomly "corrupt" in the last 18 months of me modding from newb to now like i see people constantly reporting. These things will only happen if you do something you shouldnt, like manipulate things that are in use. And ive always had a backup in literally anycase

even when my PC PSU practically exploded, when i got my pc back up my map file was fine... just dunno how people keep doing these things...
